RCP UK stands for the Royal College of Physicians (of the United Kingdom), a professional body established in 1518. It:
- Sets clinical standards & guidelines for physician practice
- Provides postgraduate training & examinations, notably the MRCP(UK) diploma
- Accredits and supports continuing professional development (CPD) for physicians
- Produces research, policy papers & advocacy to improve patient care and public health
- Membership (MRCP, FRCP) signals that a doctor has met the College’s rigorous standards for knowledge, skills, and ethical practice.
